Girl in a Coma will open several dates for the legendary Morrissey in the UK and France this month through Feb.4, including a multi-night residency in London at the London Roundhouse.
The trio from San Antonio, TX was hand-picked by Morrissey to open his fall 2007 US tour, and to rejoin him in 2008. The upcoming dates will be the first live performances for the band overseas.
“Morrissey fans are very critical about what they listen to,” said drummer Phanie Diaz in a statement. “They could have easily blown us off as typical Moz fanatics… but they learned that we have our own sound and have definitely given us support.”
The band’s debut album is “Both Before I’m Gone” on Blackheart Records.
