Veteran punk rock band, Green Day, announced their upcoming ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! Tour, scheduled for late 2012 and early 2013.

28 venues are included, beginning November 26 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA. The band will travel cross-country to the east coast and into Canada before returning out west. The tour is set to conclude at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV February 8.

The tour kicks off with intimate venues planned for the first 7 shows in November and December, and will turn to larger arenas for the remaining 21 tour dates throughout January and February. Notable stops along the way include: Pennsylvania State University January 11; Uncasville, CT January 19; and Quebec City, QC January 27.

The dynamic trio consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, backing singer and bassist Mike Dirnt, and Drummer Tre Cool. Armstrong and Dirnt have been with the band from the start in 1987, and Cool joined the group in 1990.

Green Day’s major success took off during 1994 to 1996 with their first major label debut, Dookie. The band made a comeback with the release of American Idiot (which debuted at number one on the Billboard Charts) in 2004, and followed up their success with the release of the album 21st Century, and the creation of a Broadway production, “American Idiot: The Musical.”

The ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! Tour coincides with the upcoming release of the band’s “¡Uno!,” “¡Dos!,” and “¡Tré!” album trilogy, set to hit stores on staggered dates. The first of the three albums, “¡Uno!” is set to hit stores on September 25. “¡Dos!” and “¡Tré!” will follow on November 13 and January 15.

Billie Joe Armstrong told Billboard, “The whole process and the cycle is all about chaos. It’s all about shooting from every single direction we possibly can. There’s no format to what we do. There are no rules. And it’s just a big breath of rock-and-roll fresh air…”

With three full albums’ worth of songs to introduce to fans, Green Day is expected to deliver a chaotic show that will not disappoint. Billie Joe Armstrong told Examiner, “It felt like we were all in a room jamming — everyone in the mix, throwing out ideas. If you listen to it, it feels grand. But it also feels like a garage band.”

Earlier this month, Green Day returned to the United States after cancelling a show in Bologna, Italy due to a hospital visit for Armstrong losing his voice. Following the health scare, Armstrong made a speedy recovery. The trio performed at the Staples Center for MTV’s Music Video Awards just four days later, debuting a song off “¡Uno! ” titled “Let Yourself Go.”

While the presale for Green Day’s fan club “Idiot Club” began September 12, tickets for ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, September 14.

There is no word yet as to who will be joining Green Day for their North American tour, but fans are anxiously awaiting the information while making guesses of their own.
