Tour reports are in from the current cast of So You Think You Can Dance and Kelly Clarkson for the daily tour recap on July 21, as compiled by TicketNews.
The top 10 contestants on Fox’s hit reality dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance” are taking a live production of the program on tour this fall. The 40-date outing includes stops from coast to coast across the U.S., as well as a single show in Canada. The tour’s launch will coincide with the premier of the show’s sixth season.
Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson continues on her post-American Idol career path. The former reality television contestant will support her fourth studio album with a fall tour of North America later this year. Finally, the George Wein’s Jazz Festival 55 in Newport, RI, is undergoing a last-minute lineup shift. The iconic event has swapped “At Last” icon Etta James for genre-bending chanteuse Chaka Khan after an illness sidelined the former singer and forced her to cancel a series of performances.

Hanson is going back out on the road this fall for a 30-date tour of the United States. The brotherly trio will be joined by Hellogoodbye for most dates on the trek except the opening and closing dates on Septembrer 28 at the Kern County Fair in Bakersfield, CA, and November 11 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Other performances along the way are slated for October 1 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO; October 11-12 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; October 15 at the Nokia Theatre in New York, NY; October 27 at Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN; and November 7 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA.
Insane Clown Posse, or ICP, will return to the U.S. tour circuit with 15 shows booked through late 2009. The scattered itinerary begins September 17 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, and closes out December 8 at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY. Highlights for the rap-rock duo include a September 26 concert at Majestic Theatre in Ventura, CA, an October 5 gig at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK, an October 16 set at NorVa in Norfolk, VA, an October 24 performance at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI, and a November 29 session at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, OH.
Ani DiFranco is extending her 2009 tour plans through the fall for a new batch of dates with Righteous Babe labelmate Anais Mitchell. The singer-songwriter’s schedule opens with a performance on September 9 at the jam band vanity festival moe.down in Turin, NY, and continues through November 21 at Town Hall in New York, NY. DiFranco continues on the road with stops on September 20 at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN; October 10 at Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA; October 23 at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR; and November 20 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA, among other dates.
Darius Rucker is filling in his calendar with more headline concerts in 2009. David Gray will spend some time in North America for a brief fall tour later this year. The coast-to-coast outing also includes performances on October 24 at Wamu Theater in New York, NY; October 26 at Massey Hall in Toronto, ON; October 29 at Chicago Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, IL; November 1 at Paramount Theatre in Denver, CO; and November 4 at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, OR, to name a few.
Family Force 5 will headline more than 20 autumn concerts in the U.S. this year. Gossip will unleash its soul-rock stylings on the nation this fall with an October tour of the U.S. The Brit rockers will start on their way October 7 at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, and continue on through October 30 at Vino’s in Little Rock, AR. The Raveonettes will leave their native Denmark later this year for a fall tour of North America.
