Iconic songwriters James Taylor and Carole King are doubling up their Troubadour Reunion Tour plans thanks to an additional 16 summer concert dates.

The co-headliners will now be on the road from May 7 at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, OR, through a July 20 show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.

The venture was previously slated to end with a special July 3-5 stand at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. But when tickets to a number of their original dates sold out, Taylor and King decided to extend the tour through the end of that month, according to a press statement from the duo.

Recent additions to the itinerary include performances on June 22 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA; June 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY; July 9 at the United Center in Chicago, IL; and July 17 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

While a majority of the new show dates fall later in the summer, a single spring event has been added for May 18 at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, CA. That set follows the pair’s much-hyped May 13-15 stand at Hollywood Bowl located just outside Los Angeles, CA.

Presales for the latest batch of bookings begin today, February 25, in select markets. However, several markets’ presales won’t open until March 1, while others are still awaiting ticketing dates. Full details are available on Taylor’s official Web site.
