Singer, songwriter, musician, and even book author, Jason Mraz is set to embark on his world tour, Tour Is A Four Letter Word. He will begin his tour overseas making stops in as South Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong, among others. While he will be performing in Hawaii on July 1, Mraz will officially begin the U.S. tour on August 9 in New Orleans, LA at Lakefront Arena. The tour is scheduled to wrap up in Las Vegas, NV on October 7 at the Red Rock Casino.

In an effort to avoid inflated prices on the secondary ticket market, tickets for the majority of Jason Mraz’s Tour Is A Four Letter Word will be paperless. This means that once the tickets have been purchased they are non-transferable; the purchaser will not be able to sell or trade them. In order to enter the event the purchaser must present the credit card used in the transaction as well as a valid photo ID. Just last week a New Jersey Assembly committee voted to ban the sale of paperless tickets.

“It is the restraint of trade,” explains David English, the Operations Manager of Universal Events.
Nj.com explains that the paperless tickets are sold mostly by Ticketmaster and will only be transferable on the website. “The ticket giant charges a fee for the resale and imposes rules for their resale, including minimum prices,” states NJ.com. Ticketmaster will be selling the paperless tickets for many of Mraz’s concert dates for this tour. However, some of the concerts will not include paperless ticketing, such as those in New York which according to The New York Times passed a law that requires ticket sellers to provide consumers with a transferable alternatives to paperless tickets.
