John’s Face 2 Face Tour with Billy Joel has been set back by three performances after the 62-year-old musician fell ill with a bad case of the flu and a mild E. coli infection. Pending his recovery, John will be back on the road with Joel for a November 14 show at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.
The co-headlining Canadian Carnage Tour has also been postponed due to an emergency surgery for a Slayer band member. Megadeth, while also affected by the five concert postponements, has a round of its own North American performances coming up in a couple weeks.

Kelly Clarkson is currently touring across North America on a year-end concert outing that picks up tonight, November 2 at Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, TX, and concludes December 13 at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, LA. Now the pop singer is setting her sights on the overseas market with a 2010 trek. Her next venture will begin across the pond on February 7 at the Apollo in Manchester, ENG, before continuing to mainland Europe with a February 21 performance at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, BEL. At this point, the pop-rock singer’s entire 21-date schedule for 2010 concludes April 22 at Challenge Stadium in Perth, AUS.
Lady Gaga will launch her headlining tour of North America on November 27 at bell Centre in Montreal, QC, with several extra shows added to the schedule. The rising star has added five dates to her 2009-2010 schedule, expanding stays in as many U.S. markets. The extended stays are now December 21-23 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA; December 28-29 at Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA; December 31 and January 2 at James L. Knight Center in Miami, FL; January 8-10 at Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL; and January 12-13 at Fox Theatre in Detroit, MI.
AFI has expanded its North American concert schedule to include a round of early 2010 dates. The band will hit the road with a January 15 gig at Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA, and complete more than 10 performances through its January 31 closing show at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV. Highlights of the early winter jaunt include a January 18 set at the Knitting Factory in Boise, ID; a January 22 session at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA; and a January 27 concert at Rainbow Ballroom in Frenso, CA. AFI’s next event this year is coming up tomorrow, November 3, at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK.
Dashboard Confessional has one upcoming U.S. concert date for 2009. The emo-pop band will be playing with the Louisville Orchestra on November 7 at Whitney Hall the Kentucky Center for Performing Arts in Louisville, KY. However, the tour was was supposed to follow that show has now been postponed until 2010. Citing “a family situation,” Chris Carrabba and his bandmates shoved aside the gigs in favor of an outing next year, though specific rescheduled dates and details have not yet been announced. The tour was supposed to feature New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia, and Single File.
