Concert-goers and critics alike have heaped praise on Leonard Cohen for the past two years, as he traveled the world for his first tour after 15 years of semi-retirement. But this winter, the revered singer-songwriter concludes his lengthy trek once and for all in North America.

The final stretch of concert dates begins with a December 2 concert at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. After completing the last tour date in his native Canada, Cohen will veer into the United States for performances on December 5 and 6 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, CA, and December 8 at the Rose Garden’s Theater of the Clouds in Portland, OR.

Cohen’s world tour ultimately concludes with a special weekend residency in Las Vegas, NV, where the “Hallelujah” singer will take the stage at The Colosseum on December 10 and 11.

Public ticket sales began September 25 in Portland and Las Vegas; ticket prices in both cities range from $49.50 to $250. In Vancouver, public onsales start October 9 and ticket prices range from $39.50 to $250. Meanwhile, Oakland’s ticket sales begin October 10 with prices in the $45.50 to $250 range.

The singer had earlier plans to perform a December 4 show at Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu, HI. But that date was cancelled earlier this week due to “prohibitive and insurmountable logistical issues,” according to a report from ABC News.

Tickets for the Honolulu performance had gone on sale at the same time as Cohen’s Portland and Vegas dates. As a result, Hawaii ticket holders will receive a refund and first shot at tickets in Vancouver and Oakland, according to tour producer AEG Live.

Cohen announced his return to touring in January 2008, launching the world tour in his native Canada on May 11 in Fredericton, NB. Only after a year of international touring did Cohen unveil his first U.S. tour dates — a lengthy venture that filled the spring 2009 calendar and blanketed the nation. After another batch of international dates, the preeminent performer returned for a second U.S. tour leg in fall 2009.

The 76-year-old singer is in the middle of his final string of international concerts. His European itinerary continued today, September 29, with a concert in Dortmund, Germany, and wraps October 13 in Bratislava, Slovakia. From there, Cohen will spend most of November touring New Zealand and Australia before concluding his international itinerary on November 27 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

More show and ticketing details are available on Cohen’s official Web site.
