Four years after their intial bout, Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao will square off again, this time at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on March 15 with the WBC Super Featherweight title on the line.

“Marquez-Pacquiao II will be one of those ‘must-see’ fights for boxing fans,” HBO PPV’s Mark Taffet told ESPN of the two great fighters. “Kudos to the promoters and fighters for continuing to make the fights that boxing fans want to see and for continuing the sport’s momentum well into 2008.”

Their previous match up ended with unfinished business for both of them, as they went the full 12 rounds only to end in a split decision draw. This time around Marquez, who is the current title holder, and Pacquiao will not only be fighting for the title, but also for the honor of their countries.

While Marquez (48-3-1, 35 KO’s) hails from Mexico, Filipino born Pacquiao (45-3-2) has been given the nickname “Mexican Killer” after defeating Mexican boxing stars Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera.

“There is so much pride,” Marquez said at the announcement of fight. “There is so much feeling in me. I want so badly to beat Manny.”

According to ESPN, if Pacquiao is able to defeat Marquez for the super featherweight title, it could set up the possibility of a future fight against the “Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya for Pacquiao. De la Hoya is slated to fight Steve Forbes in May.

Tickets for Marquez vs. Pacquiao are carrying a face value ranging anywhere from $100 to $600 a piece on Ticketmaster.com, and TicketNetwork.com, which also owns TicketNews, had seats in the 200 level of the Mandalay Bay for a comparable $195 each.
