Russian alternative rock and pop band Mumiy Troll has cancelled its American concerts after lead singer Ilya Lagutenko fell ill in the early morning hours of March 1, following a three hour concert at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia.

After several hours of surgery, doctors successfully removed his appendix. On doctors’ orders, Lagutenko is staying in bed for a couple of days.

Mumiy Troll’s March 3 and 4 shows at The Independent in San Francisco, CA, and March 5 and 6 at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA, will be rescheduled at a later date. Tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.
