From four dates to 14, singer-songwriter Neil Young has more than tripled the length of his upcoming solo tour of the United States.

The Twisted Road Tour itinerary now opens with a May 18 gig at Palace Theatre in Albany, NY, and wraps with a June 7 show at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, TX. The veteran musician’s calendar also includes performances on May 24 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, and June 4 at Jones Hall in Houston, TX.

When the outing was first announced near the end of March, Young only revealed four markets for the tour — Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Spartanburg, SC; and Nashville, TN. At the time, only a June 1 performance at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium was confirmed, but a second night in Nashville has also been officially added for June 2.

Though Young will be taking the stage alone, one other musician will be along for the ride on the Twisted Road. Scottish folk musician Bert Jansch will appear as a special guest and open each night with his own solo set.

TFL and ATBS for ticketing professionals

Ticket onsales for the newly announced concert dates have not been announced yet, but updates will be noted on Young’s official Web site as they become available.

Onsales began March 27 for the previously announced shows. Prices ranged from market to market, but few had listings under the $80 mark, with the high end set at $245 in Louisville. None of the dates have sold out yet, according to event listings on Ticketmaster.com.
