Despite recently completing a solo tour across North America, Neil Young apparently has no plans to take a vacation from the road this summer.
The iconic performer will begin the next leg of the Twisted Road Tour with a July 11-12 stand at Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. Ten concerts are booked presently for the summer outing, which wraps July 30 at Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI.
Young’s latest routing is largely focused on the northern markets, with a handful of shows on both sides of the U.S./Canada border. In addition to the opening stretch in Oakland, the iconic Canadian musician will also perform a double header on July 26-27 at Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg, MB.
The performer’s ticketing site is currently conducting presales for the new summer outing. The limited allotment of presale tickets has already sold out in Portland and Seattle.
Public ticket sales begin June 12 in the tour’s Canadian markets, where prices range from about $65 up to $255, according to Ticketmaster.com. The primary seller also lists upcoming June 13 onsales for Oakland, where prices fall within the $85 to $200 range.
Young just wrapped the spring leg of his solo Twisted Road Tour, which ran from May 18 at Palace Theatre in Albany, NY, through June 7 at Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, TX.
According to reviews of the initial leg of the outing, the performer’s set list varies from acoustic to electric, exploring both well-known and new material, as Young swaps out one instrument for another. Throughout the summer run, as with its spring predecessor, singer-songwriter Bert Jansch will provide opening support.
