After injuries cause concerts to be cancelled, Aerosmith tour is able to resume
Finally, there is some good news about Aerosmith as well as some more not so good news.
After canceling seven concerts due to vocalist Steven Tyler's leg injury sustained while performing at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on June 28, the Aerosmith/ZZ Top tour resumed on July 15 at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA.
However, while guitarist Brad Whitfield returned to the stage after recovering from surgery, bassist Tom Hamilton will miss some shows as he recuperates from non-invasive surgery.
Hamilton's replacement will be David Hull, who played in the Joe Perry Project and who sat in for Hamilton on the 2006 Aersomith tour. Joe Perry is the lead guitarist in Aerosmith.
The seven canceled dates have not been rescheduled yet. Fans can hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled show or get refunds at the point of purchase. The concerts were: July 1 - Cincinnati, OH, Riverbend Music Center; July 3 - Hershey, PA, Hersheypark Stadium; July 5; Virginia Beach, VA, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre; July 7 - Raleigh, NC, Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek; July 9 - Charlotte, NC, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre; July 11 - Tampa, FL , Ford Amphitheatre; and July 13 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Bank Atlantic Center.

I payed out the butt for atlanta tickets traveled all at least seven hours to get there and then Tyler cuts it WAY short? I think they should make up the show or refund our money!
While we were upset the concert was cancelled, we can totally understand that if there is an injury it takes time to heal. I'm a physician in my 40's and am so amazed that in their 50-60s the band can perform so many concerts in such a short period of time without more injuries. We hope Steve has a complete and permanent recovery and for the future suggest: don't schedule so many concerts so close together- it's just plain crazy and not healthy!
Whenever the band is rested and ready to rock again full force, will see ya there!
No refunds available for Hershey show per Hershey Entertainment even though show was cancelled. Seems like a ripoff. Anyone have any other info.
at this point i want my money back
All of you need to shut up. If they had cancelled the show you would have complained about that and now you complain when they tried to go on. I can't wait till you all are in your 60s and have problems. It is not their fault and they are doing what they can. I am a physical therapist and I would be the first in line to help all these guys get back on their feet and to personally measure Steven Tyler for his cock-up splint. I, for one, would rather see an old, tired aerosmith than no aerosmith at all. I love all of you guys Steven, Joe, Brad, Tom, and Joey. Take care of yourselves!!!
i want my money back after last nights show in atlanta was cut short by steven.
We should all get our money back after that concert. It was sad to a bunch of old men not able to hold it together. They should have cancelled this one too. I wonder if they thought that playing in the South would be OK if they couldn't get it together. Well it was not OK it was SAD and they should refund ticket prices. But we all know they will not refund one penny! With all the cancelled shows they need the money.
I agree! While the few songs they did play were great, I seriously feel like we were ripped off. :( We didn't get to hear Sweet Emotion, Dream On, Dude Looks Like A Lady, Angel, Crying, Don't Wanna Miss a Thing and many more!! Very sad and disappointed!!!
