Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band tour brings spring 'Dream' to U.S.
Fans of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are finding that good things come to those who wait. Last week, the Boss announced his first dates for his 2009 tour in Europe. This week, the iconic musician has followed suit with a new 26-date spring itinerary for the United States.
The coast-to-coast outing kicks off April 1 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA, and wraps with May 21 and 23 concerts at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ. Additional two-night stands are booked for April 21-22 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, MA, and April 28-29 at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA.
A single show in Canada is scheduled for May 7 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON. Public onsales for most dates on the spring trek begin February 2.
The U.S. dates open the 2009 touring season for Springsteen & The E-Street Band, who will then be heading overseas for a summer stint in Europe. With 10 dates originally confirmed, more than 20 shows are now on the books for mainland Europe and Ireland. The iconic group's three performances in Stockholm, Sweden, and two-night stand in Bergen, Norway, have already sold out.
Springsteen is touring behind his newest album, "Working on a Dream," which hit store shelves today (January 27). The Boss's sixteenth studio record has already received glowing reviews, including a five-star rating from Rolling Stone.
