Coldplay tour reschedules SPAC show, cancels Jones Beach before onsales
Coldplay has cancelled its July 27 show at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, just a few days after it was announced. Instead, Coldplay will perform that night at another Live Nation venue in New York, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs. The date is actually a rescheduling of Coldplay's original May 27 SPAC show, which was postponed last week due to an unspecified illness within the band.
Tickets for the concert at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater never went on sale. Tickets for the band's original SPAC date on May 27 will be accepted at the rescheduled July 27 date. Refunds will be available from point of purchase.
Currently on its Viva La Vida world tour, Coldplay also cancelled its May 29 concert at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA. Rather than completely rescheduling the show, the band allocated seats for ticketholders to their May 24 concert at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA.
Coldplay's next scheduled show is May 30 in Pittsburgh, PA, at the Post-Gazette Pavilion. They last performed May 26 at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ. The band kicked off its spring/summer tour on May 15 in West Palm Beach, FL, at Cruzan Amphitheatre.
