Elton John, Billy Joel tour remains sidelined by medical issues
After a two-week delay to the fall Face 2 Face Tour, musicians Elton John and Billy Joel have been forced to postpone yet another concert due to medical reasons. However, this time it's Joel who has fallen ill.
The piano-rocking pair has postponed its November 17 show at HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA, because Joel has been sidelined by undisclosed "medical reasons." The delay was announced earlier today on John's official Web site.
"Both Billy Joel and Elton are disappointed to be postponing the November 17 concert, and are looking forward to announcing a new concert date, once the availabilities have been worked out by all parties," the statement read.
Like the tour's earlier postponements, fans are being asked to hold onto their tickets until the San Jose event can be rescheduled. Face 2 Face shows on November 4, 7, 10 and 14 were postponed as John recovered from a serious case of the flu and an E. coli infection.
The next Face 2 Face concert is scheduled for November 20 at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, UT. John and Joel's 2009 itinerary is scheduled to end on December 7 at Times-Union Center in Albany, NY.
