Patrons flocked to the box office over the extended Holiday weekend, providing Hollywood with its own holiday prize, the second biggest Thanksgiving weekend ever. Studios estimate an overall 5-day total of $236 million, with Warner Bros.' seasonal comedy "Four Christmases" leading the way a weekend total of $31.7 million. The comedy, starring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, was able to pull in a total take of $46.7 million over the extended Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Disney's animated "Bolt," which features a dog who believes his fictional television star superhero powers are real, took the number two slot over the three-day period grossing $26.6 million, but finished third over the extended holiday weekend to the film "Twilight". "Bolt" came in with $36 million over the five days compared to the $39.5 brought in by "Twilight".

James Bond scored number four as Sony's "Quantum of Solace" earned $19.5 million in its third weekend out, with 28.1 over the extended weekend. Rounding out the top five was "Australia" starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. The film earned $14.8 million over the weekend and $20 million since opening on Wednesday.

Gus Van Sant's highly acclaimed "Milk" starring Sean Penn opened on only 36 screens, making a five-day debut of $1.87 million and a three-day count of $1.4. The Focus Feature biopic details the rise and subsequent assassination of San Francisco's Harvey Milk, the first openly gay politician. The film will expand in coming weeks.
