When Green Day heads to Australia and New Zealand this December as part of their 21st Century Breakdown World Tour, the band and promoter Frontier Touring are hoping that the anti-scalping initiatives they have in place will keep the tickets from popping up on resale sites.

First, only 300 general admission standing section tickets will be available for each venue. Fans who want tickets for this section will only be able to purchase them at designated outlets when tickets go on sale July 1. There will be a ticket limit of two per person.

In a statement, Green Day and Frontier Touring said this initiative "calls for a return to the good old days of rock concert lineups."

The second anti-scalping initiative addresses tickets purchased online, by phone or at outlets.
Tickets will be held back for delivery until a month before the concert. Ticket buyers will initially be given a receipt for the tickets and will not receive a hard ticket until November.

This is meant to keep scalpers from using resale sites that require the seller to physically have the item that is being sold. Fans who have had a change of address since purchasing the tickets will need to report the change to the ticketing agency handling their order before October 16.

The six-city tour will make five stops in Australia (Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne) and one in New Zealand (Auckland) from December 4-19. The venture Down Under will follow Green Day's previously announced North American and European tour legs.
