Is AC/DC planning to tour?
The Internet is full of reports that AC/DC is back in the studio recording its first studio album in eight years. The band is supposedly working with producer Brendan O'Brien, who has previously worked with Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. However, the band's website has no mention of such a project.
There are also reports that a tour would be forthcoming. TicketNews spoke to a few promoters who have no knowledge of a tour. One said, "Oh, is this the album that was due late in 2006? They have holds for a tour almost every year," which is not abnormal in the booking world.
If AC/DC decides to tour, it may be their last one. The band's bassist Cliff Williams said recently that the next tour would likely be a farewell tour.

Check your sources! Cliff said nothing of that! He said he was ready to record a new album and that there would likely be a tour to follow. The farewall thing is a rumor dreamed up by an nyc dj.
All that Cliff said is that he had to get in shape to tour. He did not at any point say that it would be a farewell tour. Angus has always mentioned that AC/DC would always tour as long as people want to see them and as long as they can all still stand up.
Yea Cliff said absolutely nothing about a farewell tour but I do they go on a huge world tour after this album
