James Taylor to play four unique shows at Tanglewood
Singer-songwriter James Taylor and Friends will play four shows at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, August 26-30. Three of the shows are unique from each other. Tickets have face values ranging from a low of $17 for lawn tickets to $115. Weekend lawn passes are available for $78.
August 26 is more of a potpourri of all the performances. There will be a percussion master class with Taylor band members Steve Gadd and Luis Conte, hosted by Vic Firth as well as roundtable conversations and a late night film screening, including "One Man Band."
On August 27, "James Taylor and Band: Conversations Among Friends" will be held at Ozawa Hall as Taylor will preside over an informal and intimate evening of conversations and performances with members of his band.
Taylor will perform with singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow and renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma at the shed on August 28-29 in a benefit performance for Tanglewood. Finally, Taylor will close his run at the shed on August 30 for a performance with John Williams and the Boston Pops, in what will also be the venue's closing show for the season. Taylor will be a soloist with the Pops, conducted by Williams.
