Joe Cocker at Gilboa Coexistence Festival
British rocker Joe Cocker will headline the first Gilboa Coexistence Festival in Israel, August 26-28. The festival will celebrate peace and coexistence among Jews and Arabs and the multi-ethnic spirit in the Gilboa region in northern Israel.
The multi-day festival will include joint performances by the top Jewish and Arab musicians in Israel and will also include educational programs, sporting activities, and nature excursions in Gilboa.
Jerusalem-based 2bVibes Productions in association with Marshall Arts in the UK is producing the concert at the 6,000-capacity Charod Springs Amphitheatre. Last year's "Jerusalem Rocks" festival, which included the Black Eyed Peas, The Commitments and Arrested Development, was produced by 2BVibes Productions.
“Joe Cocker is the right act to launch this new festival and we expect the venue to sell out shortly," Carmi Wurtman, 2BVibes CEO, and Hillel Wachs, the festival's booking agent, said in a joint statement.
