Mariah Carey tour announced for this November
Mariah Carey, one of the most influential pop singers of the last 20 years, announced this week that she is planning a tour that will begin in November. She made the announcement while speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show.
While no details having been officially announced, the tour will be in support of her latest album E=MC² which was released in the U.S. on April 15. The album debuted in the number one position on the Billboard 200 chart, and has spent 13 weeks overall on the chart.
In addition to the tour to begin this fall, Carey will also be performing as part of the second annual Samsung AT&T Summer Krush mini-concert. The free concert series is supporting Samsung's Black Jack II cell phone which features multiple new music features. On July 31, Carey will take to the stage for a 35 minute performance in Hollywood that will later be broadcast on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Her last tour came in 2006, when Carey hit the road on the "Adventures of Mimi Tour" which made stops in the U.S., Canada, Japan and China. She has also been in the news lately for her recent marriage to singer and actor Nick Cannon, who is nearly 11 years younger than herself.
