Neil Diamond tour postpones Portland show due to production issues
Neil Diamond’s September 22 concert at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR, has been postponed. "Unforeseen tour production logistics" have been cited as the cause for the postponement, according to a statement posted on his Web site yesterday.
The concert will be rescheduled in the near future, but a date has not been announced yet. Tickets for the September 22 concert will be honored at the rescheduled performance. AEG Live is the tour producer.
Diamond is currently on a North American arena tour that kicked off on July 19 in St. Paul, MN. Since the initial announcement of dates, the tour has been extended to November 4 in Green Bay, WI, at the Resch Center.
The iconic crooner was recently in the news after performing an August 25 date at Ohio State University with a raspy voice. When concert-goers complained about the quality of the show, stating that Diamond hadn't even mentioned being sick, the singer issued a refund for the audience.
Diamond's is supporting his newest album, "Home Before Dark," which was released on May 6. The album was produced by legendary record producer Rick Rubin, who helmed Diamond's "12 Songs" back in 2005.
