Tix Corp. Continues Impressive Growth Streak
By Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
Tix4Tonight, the Las Vegas-based discount ticketer owned by Tix Corporation, continues on its roll of breaking its own records. It has now reported a new record for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, 2007 with sales of $10.9 million, up 50% over the 2006 fourth quarter gross ticket sales of $7.3 million.
Tix4Tonight also set a new record for the calendar year 2007 in gross ticket sales, which were $34.5 million, up 49% over 2006’s gross ticket sales of $23.2 million.
The company aggressively sought to grow its business in 2007 by bringing in investors and making acquisitions. In addition, the firm pumped resources into creating a network of strategically located storefronts in five locations throughout Las Vegas, all in areas of significant foot traffic.
