Dave Matthews tickets on sale this weekend
Tickets for an upcoming concert stop from Dave Matthews are among the onsales for the weekend ending July 9, 2012 as compiled by TicketNews®.
Due in large part to the Fourth of July holiday, this weekend's onsales are significantly shorter than usual. The onsales begin with tickets to an upcoming concert from Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. The duo, who sporadically tour together despite both belonging to different bands, play solely acoustic sets in concert. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 6, 2012 for an upcoming concert in Canandaigua, NY.
Also among the Friday onsales are tickets to an upcoming concert from Art Garfunkel. One half of the classic duo Simon and Garfunkel and later a successful solo artist, Garfunkel has suffered from vocal cord paresis over the past several years. However, after receiving treatment, Garfunkel has returned to touring. He has an upcoming concert at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on sale Friday.
Continuing the concert onsales are tickets to Lindsey Buckingham's upcoming concert in Des Moines, IA. A member of Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has achieved success as a solo artist following the band's initial break-up in the early 1980s. He is currently on a solo tour, where he performs without a backing band, creating a more intimate concert experience.
Rounding out the weekend's concert onsales are tickets to Bob Dylan's upcoming concert in Bethel, NY. The music legend and recent recipient of Presidential Medal of Freedom is currently in the midst of the 25th year of his Never Ending Tour, which initially began in 1998.
Finally, this weekend offers tickets to several upcoming sporting events. First, tickets go on sale Monday, July 9, 2012 for the October 13, 2012 NBA meeting between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics. The two Eastern Conference teams, who both qualified for the 2011-12 play-offs, will be played at the XL Center in Hartford, CT rather than in either team's home arena. Also among the Monday onsales are tickets to an upcoming soccer match between European club powerhouses AC Milan and Real Madrid. The match will be held at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, NY.
"Onsales" is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
