Two months after announcing they would reunite for a new tour and album, the members of No Doubt have started unveiling details for the 2009 summer tour. Dates and venues have not yet been confirmed, but the trek is scheduled to start in May and will stop in outdoor amphitheaters and arenas across the U.S. and Canada.

“The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music,” lead singer and successful solo artist Gwen Stefani said in a statement. “It feels good to be all together again.”

Pop-punk band Paramore has been tapped as the trek’s special guest, with additional opening support rotating among The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash. “What a dream tour! We couldn’t be more excited to kick off 2009 by touring with a band like No Doubt,” said Hayley Williams, singer for Paramore.

The Live Nation-produced summer outing will be No Doubt’s first time on the road since co-headlining with now-defunct punk trio Blink 182 in 2004. “Now that five years have passed, the excitement level for us is extremely high. We are so fresh and ready! I feel like a kid again when rehearsing these songs,” said drummer Adrian Young.

The first and only confirmed date on No Doubt’s itinerary is for a May 3 headlining spot on the fifth annual Bamboozle Festival. The band has lead billing on May 3 during the three-day event, while Fall Out Boy is headlining the festival on May 2.
