Up-and-coming act Owl City and veteran singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen are just two of the artists covered in the daily tour recap for November 5, as compiled by TicketNews.

Owl City is extending its international grasp with more 2010 tour dates. The electronic pop act, which has rocketed to fame in recent months, already announced an extensive U.S. tour, which will run from January 21 at Beaumont Club in Kansas City, MO, through February 13 at Brubaker Auditorium in Grantham, PA.

From there, Owl City will touch down in the UK and mainland Europe for at least 10 more headlining performances from February 17 at Komedia in Brighton, UK, through March 1 at Magnet Club in Berlin, GER. The act is currently on the cusp of a late November tour of China, followed by a few shows in Japan with Mae, and a round of holiday and headline gigs back in the U.S., including a December 14 session at the House of Blues in Houston, TX.

Many other acts have updated their upcoming performance calendars. Highlights of those changes are outlined in brief below:

Leonard Cohen is currently finishing his sweep of North America, where he has been winning hearts with his first concerts in the region in more than a dozen years. The preeminent performer will be back on the road in 2010 with another batch of European concert dates, six of which have been announced so far. Cohen’s calendar opens in the New Year with a March 1 show at Zenith in Caen Cedex, FRA, and continues at least through a March 15 show at Arena in Zagreb, CRO. The remaining 2010 dates are all in France, including a March 5 show at Zenith in Strasbourg, and a March 7 gig at Le Dome in Marseille.

Medeski, Martin and Wood will hit the stage for a dozen concerts across the Northeastern U.S. over the next month. The calendar picks up with a November 12 show at Mass MOCA in North Adams, MA, and continues through a December 5 event at Port City Music Hall in Portland, ME. Other gig stops on the map include a November 14 set at Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York, NY; November 18 at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, MI; November 21 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; and December 3 at the Ballroom at Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT.

Rookie of the Year will be busy at least through mid-December with its year-end tour of the U.S. The venture is aimed towards more than two dozen markets across the nation, beginning with a November 8 gig at The Social in Orlando, FL, and concluding on December 18 at 527 Mainstreet in Murphreesboro, TN. With support from In Passing and Backseat Goodbye, among others, the pop trio will also play on November 13 at The Casbah in Charlotte, NC; November 22 at Canal Club in Richmond, VA; December 9 at Peabody’s Downunder in Cleveland, OH; and December 14 at The Marquee in Tulsa, OK.

Yo La Tengo has unveiled a brief run of U.S. concert dates for 2010. Half a dozen dates are currently confirmed for the run, which kicks off January 22 at Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, MI. From there, the indie rock group will continue on with events on January 23 at Barrymore Theatre in Madison, WI; January 24 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO; January 26 at Granada Theatre in Lawrence, KS; and January 28 at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX. The group is overseas at the moment for a late-year jaunt across Ireland, the UK and Europe. After a show tonight (November 5) in Dublin, IRE, Yo La Tengo’s next show is November 6 at ABC1 in Glasgow, SCO.
