Rock Band Live headlining artists Panic At The Disco and opening band Plain White T’s will take the stage at the Rock Band 2 Party at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on September 6. The show will benefit LIFEbeat: The Music Industry Fights AIDS, a national non-profit organization dedicated to reaching America’s youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention.

Tickets for the all-ages event, held during MTV’s Video Music Awards weekend, have a face value of $50 for general admission, with proceeds going to LIFEbeat.

The LIFEbeat concert has become a major staple in the 24-hour lead-up to the annual Video Music Awards and give MTV an opportunity to stage an exclusive concert featuring an on-the-verge artist or a major act. Prior LIFEbeat acts include the Beastie Boys, Robin Thicke and Maroon 5.

“MTV is proud to be teamed up with LIFEbeat again on this year’s VMA weekend as we support their long-standing commitment to HIV/AIDS education and prevention,” said Tim Rosta, senior vice president of Integrated Marketing at MTV, in a statement. “We have always seen the LIFEbeat benefit as one of the cornerstones of the weekend, and this year’s event is no exception.”
