It wasn’t long before Paul McCartney took charge of TicketNews’ exclusive events rankings as the former Beatle embarks on a tour of North America this summer. During the week ending Sunday, June 26, McCartney hit at No. 1 for the second week in a row, this time power scoring a 7.52.

Following the rock legend at No. 2 were tickets for USA Men’s Soccer for their CONCACAF Gold Cup Final (4.17) against Mexico, a game won by Mexico on June 25. Wicked took No. 3 (3.66) this week, with Taylor Swift at four (3.06) and The Book of Mormon at five (3.03). Next came U2 (six, 2.15), currently playing last year’s postponed North American leg of their 360° tour, and pre-finals play in CONCACAF Gold Cup Soccer finished the week at seven (2.09). Sade with John Legend had strong enough secondary sales to make it to No. 8 (1.67), followed by Katy Perry on her California Dreams tour at nine (1.39) and Britney Spears performing with Nicki Minaj at ten (1.31).

The U.S. continued to prove its increasing interest in soccer, which showed in this week’s Top Sports rankings, with USA Men’s Soccer tickets for the CONCACAF Final taking No. 1 (17.51), pre-finals CONCACAF play taking No. 2 (8.78) and Manchester United, gearing up for a pre-season U.S. tour against MLS teams, at No. 5 (2.82). TicketNews Exclusive Rankings and Power Scores are based on ticket sales from the TicketNetwork ExchangeTM, the world’s largest secondary market exchange. Two factors are used to calculate a power score: total ticket sales from the given event and total ticket sales within the category. Since the sum of all events’ power scores equals 100 in any given category, an individual event’s Power Score represents its category-specific significance. Top Seller Power Scores should only be used to compare sellers within a particular category, and not across categories.
