Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band and Beastie Boys will headline the second Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival to be held in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA from August 28-30.
Also on the billing for summer 2009 are Incubus, Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz, Ween, The Mars Volta, M.I.A., Calexico and The National. These national acts will be featured along with local favorites such as Brett Dennen, John Vanderslice and Raphael Saadiq.
Tickets go on sale on April 19 at 10 a.m. PST, preceded by the festival’s presale for Visa cardholders on April 15-18. Presale customers will get advance access and limited time “eager beaver” pricing for three-day passes ($199.50).
The advance three-day ticket ($225.50) kicks in when the “eager beaver” ticket allotment sells out. A regular three-day ticket (price TBA) will become available after the advance three-day sells out. Visa Signature cardholders also get exclusive access to VIP three-day passes ($595) during the presale. A significant portion of every ticket sold will directly benefit San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department.
“We are so proud to have introduced this vital and unique annual event to the music fans in San Francisco,” Superfly Productions’ Rick Farman, one of the event’s promoters, said in a statement. “We are really excited to be back and can’t wait to unveil all we’re planning. The great lineup is just the tip of the iceberg.”
