Upcoming tour plans for All Time Low and Mae are just a couple of the headlines in the daily tour recap for August 20, as compiled by TicketNews.
For the latter part of 2009, All Time Low will be on the road and heading a four-band bill as they support the July release of “Nothing Personal.” Support is provided courtesy of We The Kings, Hey Monday and The Friday Night Boys on the 34-date Glamour Kills Tour.
Do-good rock crew Mae continues to promote its latest charity initiative on the road. The second installment of the “12 Songs, 12 Months, 1 Goal” project will be completed in the form of a four-song EP soon, and the band will tour the nation from September to November to support it. Meanwhile, the latest incarnation of the Misfits is also touring North America from September through December with performances booked in Mexico, as well as the usual U.S. and Canada shows.
Special updates are led today by comedy-rock duo Tenacious D, which has been called on to fill-in for the Beastie Boys’ headline set at the 2009 Outside Lands festival on August 30. Overseas, Finnish fans of Alice Cooper may have to travel further than expected to see the shock rocker perform after officials at Tampere Arena banned Cooper from taking the stage there due to the “suspicious values” of his music.

Pearl Jam has expanded its on-going North American tour with a few additional dates in the U.S. and Canada. The grunge-rock icons will now stop for extra shows on September 25 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC; September 26 at the Clark County Amphitheater in Ridgefield, WA; and September 28 at The E Center in West Valley City, UT. The outing continues August 21 at The Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON; and concludes its national dates with October 27, 28, 30 and 31 shows at The Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA.
The Bravery will hit the ground running this fall with a 30-date headline tour of the U.S. and Canada. The trek kicks off October 1 at Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO, and concludes November 11 at The Venue in Vancouver, BC. The only other show in Canada is set for October 6 at Opera House Concert Venue in Toronto, ON. Some U.S. highlights are October 8 at terminal 5; October 20 at Center Stage in Atlanta, GA; November 1 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA; and November 9 at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, WA.
Mannheim Steamroller is laying down tracks for the 2009 edition of its annual holiday tour. Sixty concerts have been outlined from November 12 at Adams Center in Missoula, MT, until December 29 at Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, WI. Some of the gigs booked on the bi-coastal outing are for November 14 at Academy of Music in Philadelphia, PA; November 29 at Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, TX; December 11 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA; and December 22-23 at Orpheum Theater in Omaha, NE.
Joshua Radin is hooked for a second U.S. tour leg at the end of this year. He’s slated for an earlier fall run from September 9 at NorVa in Norfolk, VA, through September 26 at High Noon Saloon in Madison, WI, to be followed by a string of international dates filling the month of October. The new 20-date U.S. venture will then pick up October 28 at the Music Box at Fonda in Los Angeles, CA, and continue on the road until November 22 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA.
Chevelle has plans for a North American headline trek that will stretch from September through October. About 20 dates are booked for the outing, which starts with a September 11 appearance at 102.9 Buzzfest in Nashville, TN, and concludes October 10 at The Rave Bar in Milwaukee, WI. Some other dates on the band’s calendar include September 22 at The Valarium in Knoxville, TN; September 30 at The National in Richmond, VA; and October 6 at Sokol Auditorium/Underground in Omaha, NE.
Neko Case will add another leg onto her ever-growing Middle Cyclone Tour, promoting her latest studio album. The alt-country musician’s late fall circuit launches November 5 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO, and ends November 23 at Granada Theater in Dallas, TX. The nine-city trek also includes stops on November 8 at Harro East Ballroom in Rochester, NY; November 16 at Beacon Theatre in New York, NY; and November 20 at The Moon in Tallahassee, FL.
