Alt-rock icons the Pixies are bringing their 20th anniversary celebration of the album “Doolittle” back home to the states. After completing a previously announced tour of Europe in September, the band will return for a nine-city run across the U.S. in November.

The 14-date outing begins November 4 at The Palladium in Los Angeles, CA, and wraps at the end of the month on November 30 at Constitution Hall in Washington, DC.

Several cities on the itinerary will host multi-night engagements, including November 8-9 at Fox Theater in Oakland, CA; November 12-13 at Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA; November 20-21 at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL; and November 23-25 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY.

The first tickets will go on sale in Seattle on August 1, followed by August 14 sales in New York and Eugene, and August 16 sales in Oakland. Tickets for the show in Washington, DC, will be available on September 11, followed the next day by sales in Denver, Chicago and Boston. An onsale date for Los Angeles has not yet been announced.

As with the European “Doolittle” tour, Pixies will celebrate their seminal album’s 20th anniversary with cover-to-cover performances in each city on the trek. The record was the third release from the Boston-based Pixies, who ruled the alt-rock scene from 1987 through their break in 1993.

“We wanted to do something special for Doolittle’s 20th anniversary, and we thought this was a good opportunity to play all of the songs from that album, something we don’t normally do at a regular gig,” said Black Francis, principle songwriter and frontman for the band, in an earlier statement.

In addition to Francis, the original Pixies line-up will be intact for the tour. Bassist and band co-founder Kim Deal is along for the ride with drummer David Lovering and guitarist Joey Santiago rounding out the foursome.
