Two-time Grammy winner Radiohead has confirmed a second leg of dates on its North American tour, which starts Aug.1 in Chicago, where they will headline Lollapalooza, and wrap up Aug. 28 at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California. The new dates are in addition to its May string of shows beginning May 5 in West Palm Beach, FL. In between its North American dates, Radiohead will tour Europe June 7-July 8.

The North American leg will stop in 22 cities for 24 shows and will continue to support “In Rainbows,” the band’s seventh studio album and first iniatially released as a pay-what-you-want download; it debuted at #1 on The Billboard 200 Chart.

The band has also just launched its own social networking site called W.A.S.T.E. Central, where Radiohead fans can connect with each other, buy concert tickets, upload photos, and talk about the band.

In addition, Capitol/EMI Records, the group’s former label, has set a June 3 release date for “Radiohead: The Best Of,” a collection of songs exclusively culled from the band’s six major-label albums from Parlophone and Capitol. Radiohead split from Capitol in 2004.

During its career, Radiohead has sold more than 25 million records worldwide, has achieved platinum status in 17 countries and multi-platinum in nine.
