New tour plans from Maxwell and Shinedown are among the top reports in the daily tour recap for August 10, as compiled by TicketNews.

The big-time comeback continues for Maxwell. The neo-soul singer has announced another leg of dates for his BLACKsummers’night Tour, extending the venture into early autumn. Maxwell’s summer tour sold out completely, as did an earlier round of concerts the performer staged in late 2008.

Hard rock crew Shinedown has also lined up a fresh slate of concerts for the fall. The headline outing will follow the band’s current co-headline trek with Staind. Indie rock group Built to Spill will hit the road later this month and continue on the tour circuit through late November. The band will be touring in support of its latest studio album, which is due in stores in October.

In some special concert news, Barbra Streisand will perform an exclusive concert at the Village Vanguard, a famed jazz club in New York City’s Greenwich Village. Capacity for the club is in the low 100s, but tickets won’t be going on sale — they’ll be offered free of charge to fans who pre-order Babs’s latest record or register on her Web site. Meanwhile, Bob Dylan fans are advised that the musician’s August 11 concert in Glendale, AZ, has been cancelled due to an excessive heat advisory. The extra-high temperatures would reportedly pose a health risk for concert goers and the performance crew alike, so the date has been axed. Refunds will be issued, though.

Those are the complete concert and tour reports for this Monday. Check back tomorrow for more of the latest from TicketNews, or read on for some of the day’s other itinerary updates in brief:
