With a win at the 2009 American Music Awards under its belt, country trio Rascal Flatts is looking ahead to the New Year and a new slate of concerts. The aptly titled Unstoppable Tour will break into 2010 with at least nine more events booked across the U.S. and Canada.
The venture launches with a January 15-16 stand at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, and continues through a February 18 event at Peoria Civic Center Arena in Peoria, IL. Only a handful of other dates have been revealed for the 2010 calendar, including a January 28 show at the John Labatt Centre in London, ON, and a February 5 concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI.
Tickets are already available for select dates of the tour, though a couple concerts are still awaiting the start of onsales. More ticketing details are available on the official Rascal Flatts Web site.
But before the next leg of “Unstoppable” dates can kick off, Rascal Flatts has one more concert on the books for this year. The country trio is one of the acts scheduled to appear at the December 11 “Opry at the Ryman” event. Held in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium, the two-set event will also include performances by Charley Pride and Steve Wariner.
Rascal Flatts launched its Unstoppable Tour in June, and eventually expanded the itinerary to include more than 30 performances across the U.S. and Canada. The band was also on the road from 2008 into the early months of 2009 with its earlier Bob That head Tour.
The current tour supports Rascal Flatts’ sixth studio album, “Unstoppable,” released on April 7. The Platinum-certified album became the group’s fourth straight released to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album’s popularity also spurred Rascal Flatts on to its fourth consecutive AMA win this year in the category for Favorite Country Music Band, Duo or Group.
