AC/DC

Hailing from Australia, AC/DC is one of the leading names in hard rock, with a career spanning more than 30 years. AC/DC's enduring popularity has cemented its position within the top ten top selling artists of all time behind legends such as The Beatles, Elvis, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

After steady album production and touring in the 1970s and '80s, the band slowed its pace in recent decades, but remained a favorite among fans. As a result, demand was at an all-time high when the group release their first new album in eight years in 2008, "Black Ice."

Tickets for the resulting Black Ice World Tour were in high demand, and regularly placed AC/DC on TicketNews's exclusive weekly rankings for top events in the ticket industry. The tour also made headlines when the band announced that all tickets purchased through its fan club would use Ticketmaster's paperless ticketing system.
