B.B. King, born Riley B. King, is an American blues guitarist from Mississippi who has become a living legend both for his skill and the duration of his career. Rolling Stone ranked him third on its list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." King has recorded and toured for more than 50 years, releasing dozens of albums and often completing hundreds of live performances a year. Though many of his concerts are often solo engagements, he occasionally tours with other prominent figures in the blues world, such as a recent 2009 tour with fellow guitarist Buddy Guy. B.B. King remains a popular artist for live concerts, and he regularly fills medium- to large-sized clubs and theaters both in North America and internationally.
B.B. King tour heads into summer with new concerts in U.S., Europe
After more than 50 years of recording and touring, acclaimed blues guitarist B.B. King has performed thousands of concerts around the world. The music legend adds to that tally with two brief tour legs in the U.S. and a mid-summer run of Europe.
King's current itinerary begins and ends in the United States, split between 10-show runs in early and late summer. The first tour leg starts May 16 at the House of Brews in Las Vegas, NV, and temporarily ends May 31 at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX. The second round of dates picks up August 19 at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI, and closes September 2 at the Mable House Amphitheatre in Marbleton, GA.

The manager for rising star Jennifer Hudson told press that the acclaimed singer-actress will tour national theaters this spring. The six-week jaunt has yet to be confirmed, but it would be the former "American Idol" competitor's first major outing since the tragic murders of three family members in October 2008.
B.B. King tour continues into 2009 with help from Buddy Guy
Iconic blues musician B.B. King will continue to tour extensively through the end of 2008 and into early 2009 with some recently announced additions to his itinerary. The legendary guitarist has been on the road since early September, and continues his performance schedule with a November 14 gig at Riverwind Casino in Norman, OK.
After completing his previously announced U.S. tour dates, King will continue on through the end of December with a special December 27-28 run at the new Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA, and a New Year's Eve performance at Warnors Centre for the Performing Arts in Fresno, CA. The next leg of his tour begins February 5 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL, and wraps April 15 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill, NY.
