Cher is an iconic American performer who got her start in the mid-1960s, achieving quick success with then-husband Sonny Bono as part of the folk singing duo Sonny & Cher. The overnight popularity of the pair was largely driven by their smash single "I Got You Babe" and sustained through the early '70s by their variety television appearances.

The current reigning queen of Las Vegas residencies will make her final curtain call in February 2011. This week, iconic singer Cher announced the final dates of her three-year residency at Caesars Palace, "Cher at the Colosseum."
The pop music diva and actress begins her final run of shows in the 4,300-seat theater on January 11 and ends the residency February 5. Public onsales for the final 2011 performances start this Saturday, September 25. Ticket prices for the 90-minute extravaganza will start at $95 and range up to $250, according to show producer AEG Live.
Jay-Z, Cher tickets on sale throughout the weekend

Cher announces final Las Vegas shows of 2009 at Caesars Palace
Cher has announced the final stretch of shows for this year during her Las Vegas residency engagement. The singer and actress began headlining the 4,100-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace in May 2008 under a contract that covers approximately 200 shows over a three-year period.
The pop icon has added shows September 19 through December 20, continuing to perform four days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Following her upcoming spring performances, Cher will break for the summer, returning in September to launch the year-end engagements.
NASCAR, Cher tickets on sale this week
Tickets for an upcoming concert from Cher as well as tickets for upcoming NASCAR events are on sale throughout the week ending November 8 as compiled by TicketNews.
The week's onsales begin with a chance to catch music legend Cher in concert. Tickets for the Las Vegas show went on sale Monday. Cher tour returns to Colosseum for second round of shows
Cher will return to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, for 35 performances for her first series of 2009 shows. The performances run in blocks from February 21 through March 21 and from April 24 through May 24. Tickets go on sale on November 3 and are priced at $95, $140, $175, and $250 plus taxes and fees
Cher's Colosseum show is a 90-minute concert-style spectacle which begins at 7:30 p.m. four nights a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster, keyword Cher. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Colosseum box office, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Cher cancelled final 2008 concerts at Caesars Palace Colosseum
Cher has cancelled her last two 2008 performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace scheduled for October 4-5 as well as a show from the previous weekend due to illness. Cher has been suffering from an upper respiratory ailment that has been referred to as "asthma-related bronchitis."
Cher reportedly had been bothered by the desert dryness which caused her further throat problems while fighting the asthmatic related bronchitis and had not fully recovered from the previous weekend. She cancelled the October 4 performance a few hours before show time. Neither concert will be rescheduled, but Cher will return to the venue early next year for another prolonged residency.
