American pop artist Christina Aguilera got her start in 1990 on Ed McMahon’s "Star Search" TV show, then later went on the become a Mouseketeer on "The New Mickey Mouse Club" TV series, where other famous musicians got their start, like Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, and JC Chasez from N’Sync. After singing "Reflection" for Disney’s film "Mulan," Aguilera was signed to RCA Records. When she’s not entertaining millions with her R&B style, Aguilera has committed a considerable amount of free time to philanthropy for human rights issues.
Despite a challenging childhood, in which she was ostracized for her musical talent by her peers and lived with an abusive father, Aguilera went on to become one of the most successful artists of the 2000's. She has won four Grammy Awards and a Latin Grammy Award, including ones for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" and "Best New Artist." Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Whitney Huston have been listed among her biggest influences.
Christina Aguilera tour delayed until 2011 due to 'prior commitments'
Christina Aguilera will not tour this summer as she previously planned. The pop star has instead opted to wait until sometime in 2011 to begin her North American concert schedule.
The 20-city summer tour was supposed to begin July 15 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Tour promoter Live Nation attributed the year-long tour delay to Aguilera's "prior commitments" for promoting her new album "Bionic" and upcoming film "Burlesque."

One of pop music's former golden girls is marking her return this year with new material and a headlining tour to match. Christina Aguilera will launch her 2010 global tour in North America on July 15, a month after her new album "Bionic" is set to drop.
Twenty tour dates have been announced for the world trek's stateside leg, which stretches from the July 15 opener at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, through an August 19 concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA. British songstress Leona Lewis will provide support throughout the tour.
Christina Aguilera: Tour Dates Cancelled, Rumored Pregnant Singer Collapses
Christina Augilera is said to be four months pregnant and was ordered to cancel two of her world tour dates after collapsing.
The 'dirrty' vocalist, reportedly experienced breathing difficulties during a performance in Melbourne, Australia, last Friday. It was not determined if the collapse was attributed to the alleged pregnancy or if it was just a case of exhaustion.
Although she reportedly was able to finish the concert, the sexy star was forced to miss some songs and an encore. Medical Technicians were summoned to the concert site and after treating Christina, they recommended that she cancel her two remaining Melbourne shows and advised her to rest.
Christina, who has yet to confirm or deny the pregnancy herself, apologized to her fans, claiming she was fighting a bout with the flu. "I want to personally apologize to all of my fans. I am truly disappointed that I won't be able to share my show with you all." she said. . .
