The rockers of Coldplay will perform a special, stripped-down set in Los Angeles later this month for SiriusXM and Pandora listeners.

The performance will take place on Wednesday, January 15 at The Garage in SiriusXM’s expanded west coast studios in Hollywood, California. Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland of Colplay will take part in the gig, as well as special musical guests that have not been announced at this time. Following the show, Martin and Buckland will participate with a Q&A session with a handful of members in the audience.

Coldplay just released their eighth studio album, Everyday Life, which features singles “Orphans” and “Arabesque.” The LP follows 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams and Ghost Stories from 2014. Those in attendance will be able to hear some of Coldplay’s greatest hits like “The Scientist” from 2002’s A Rush of Blood to the Head, “Yellow” from 2000’s Parachutes, 2005’s “Fix You” off of X&Y, and their 2008 smash-hit “Viva La Vida” from the record of the same name.

Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM, described the show in a press release as a “special performance by one of the world’s most popular bands in a truly unique venue,” noting that the gig will be “a special night for those attending and listeners nationwide.”

“Since we’ve expanded our presence in Los Angeles, we have wanted to make The Garage, our state-of-theart performance space in Hollywood, a go-to destination for a range of artists, and an up-close experience for our subscribers. Coldplay performing there is the one-of-a-kind moment we’ve envisioned and are eager to bring our listeners.”

Fans can only gain entrance into the event by invitation. Those who qualify and ova registered their music interests at SiriusXM.com/perks will receive an invitation to the private performance via email. Pandora listeners also have the chance to score tickets based on their listening histories. Additionally, fans can register to win a trip for two to Los Angeles and a pair of tickets via this contest.

Coldplay will be the first group to perform at The Garage in 2020, following a performance from Dave Matthews Band in 2019. Over the past year, other artists have held exclusive SiriusXM concerts including the Jonas Brothers at New York City’s Webster Hall, Phish at The Met in Philadelphia, and Lady Gaga at the Apollo Theatre in New York City.
