English rock band Coldplay has steadily climbed the album charts since its 2000 debut single "Yellow," becoming both a critical and commercial success. The group's fourth studio album "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends" won a total of three Grammy Awards, two specifically for the single "Viva la Vida."
Coldplay's popularity has made the band a staple on the world touring circuit over the past decade. The band's most recent tours have been hot tickets, especially for the most recent tour supporting "Viva la Vida." The popularity of its live performances has led the band to add multiple new legs to the tour to accommodate demand.
Eminem, Coldplay among Lollapalooza 2011 headliners
With just about three months to go and ticket sales already well underway, a lineup has finally been revealed for Lollapalooza's 20th anniversary. Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Muse will headline the August 5-7 festivities in Chicago, IL.
Other acts atop the billing include My Morning Jacket, Deadmau5 and A Perfect Circle. The full lineup — with more than 120 performers and DJ acts — is available below. Exact performance dates and times have not yet been announced.

Coldplay tour reschedules SPAC show, cancels Jones Beach before onsales
Coldplay has cancelled its July 27 show at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY, just a few days after it was announced. Instead, Coldplay will perform that night at another Live Nation venue in New York, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs. The date is actually a rescheduling of Coldplay's original May 27 SPAC show, which was postponed last week due to an unspecified illness within the band.
Tickets for the concert at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater never went on sale. Tickets for the band's original SPAC date on May 27 will be accepted at the rescheduled July 27 date. Refunds will be available from point of purchase.
Coldplay tour postpones two concerts due to illness
Coldplay, currently on the Viva La Vida world tour, has been forced to postpone two concerts on May 27 concert at Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, and May 29 at Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA.
Both shows were canned because of an unspecified illness to an unspecified member of the band. The SPAC show was to be the launch of Live Nation's concert series at the amphitheater.
Coldplay tour announces free CD giveaway at summer concerts
Coldplay fans are in for a special treat. Beginning with the band's Viva La Vida summer tour, which kicks off May 15, and continuing through every show performed in 2009, concertgoers will receive a free, live CD called "LeftRightLeftRightLeft."
The CD will also be available as a free download during this time at the group's official Web site, though physical copies will only be available at performances. The free giveaway does not include Coldplay's festival dates.
Coldplay tour cancels Scranton show, allocates seats in Hershey
British rockers Coldplay have cancelled their May 29 concert at the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA, due to a "scheduling conflict."
The Grammy Award-winning band begins its 24-city Viva La Vida North American spring tour on May 15 in West Palm Beach, FL. The Scranton performance is the only concert on the itinerary currently cancelled due to a scheduling conflict.
Coldplay and Beastie Boys to headline Osheaga Festival
Coldplay and Beastie Boys will headline the fourth edition of the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal, QC, from August 1-2. Coldplay will play on August 1, followed by Beastie Boys on August 2.
Tickets go on sale April 3 at the Bell Centre box office and through the official festival Web site. Tickets are priced differently for the two days which is rare for festivals: August 1 is $75, August 2 is $65, and a weekend pass is $125. Face value of tickets does not include applicable service fees.
Beastie Boys, Tool, Coldplay to headline All Points West Music Festival
Beastie Boys, Tool and Coldplay will headline the second All Points West Music & Arts Festival to be held July 31 through August 2 at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.
The festival will also feature Echo & The Bunnymen, My Bloody Valentine, Vampire Weekend, MSTRKRFT, MGMT, Gogol Bordello, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Black Keys, Fleet Foxes, Neko Case, Arctic Monkeys and more than 65 artists appearing throughout the 80-acre historic location that has panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline.
Coldplay tour announces spring North American concerts
Chart-topping titan Coldplay will start the next leg of its North American tour earlier than expected with a 24-city spring jaunt. The trek kicks off May 15 at Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL, and wraps temporarily on June 20 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC.
Highlights for the spring outing include a May 17 gig at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA, a May 26 event at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ, a June 6 concert at Sommet Center in Nashville, TN, and a June 15 show at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB, among other dates. Ticket sales for select dates begin over the next two weekends.
Coldplay, Paul McCartney tickets on sale this weekend
Tickets for an upcoming national tour from Coldplay as well as tickets for upcoming concerts from former Beatle Paul McCartney are on sale throughout the weekend ending February 16 as compiled by Ticket News.
In the onsales for today are several hot tickets. First up, rockers Iron Maiden have tickets on sale for their upcoming concert in Florida. Former Audioslave and Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell has multiple concert dates in today’s onsales, including stops in New Orleans, New York, Dallas, and Atlanta, while James Taylor has shows on sale in Milwaukee, Dallas, Nashville, and Seattle.
