One of the most unique parts of the Division I College Football is there postseason. Rather than a playoff system, the NCAA has a plethora of college bowls that more than half of Division I teams get to participate in. AS of 2009, there are 32 bowls including the four games that are part of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS). The BCS is a computerized system that determines the two best teams from the regular season and puts them in the national championship game.
Many fans have criticized the college bowl system over the years, but there is no denying the fact that these games generate millions to the universities. The bowl games are also important on the secondary market, as quality match-ups can result in high demand for game tickets.
