Disco Biscuits is a trance fusion band out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania composed of guitarist Jon Gutwillig, bassist Marc Brownstein, drummer Allen Aucoin, and keyboardist Aron Magner. The band formed in 1995 at the University of Pennsylvania and played at college frat parties and bars until they self-released their first album in 1996 called “Encephalous Crime.” Their style is unique in that they play one song into the next without stopping and often play “inverted”, or backwards, versions of their songs.
The band has kept busy, releasing 11 albums in 13 years while at the same time working on a number of side projects. They began their coast to coast “Planet Anthem” tour in Baltimore on September 11, 2009 and released their first EP “On Time” at the beginning of October of 2009.
