Jackson Browne is a noted American singer-songwriter who has been active since his eponymous 1972 debut. Though he releases new music at a fairly regular interval, his best-selling effort remains "Running on Empty," the live, seven-time multi-Platinum record released in 1977. In recent years, Browne has become more politically active, especially with various social and environmental issues. His most recent tour for the 2008 release "Time the Conquerer" completed several turns around North America and the world, primarily booked into amphitheaters during the summer season and large theaters.

The Fall 2009 Solo Acoustic Tour will visit theaters and art centers in at least 20 markets around the country, launching November 1 at The Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg, PA. The five-week jaunt is currently scheduled to wrap on December 7 at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines in Des Moines, IA.

Them Crooked Vultures is the side-project of Queens of the Stone Age's frontman Josh Homme, Nirvana and Foo Fighters musician Dave Grohl, and Led Zeppelin's bassist John Paul Jones. The trio has announced plans for inaugural tours of the U.S. and UK, which are set to begin this fall.

Classic singer-songwriter Jackson Browne will continue his tour supporting "Time the Conqueror" with a new round of summer concert dates booked for the United States and Canada. The 33-city tour leg picks up with a July 7-8 stand at Casino Rama Entertainment Centre in Rama, ON, and wraps August 31 at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul, MN.
The U.S. portion of the tour will complete a coast-to-coast circuit over a seven-week period. Gig stops include a July 19 concert at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA, a July 25 performance at the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, NJ, an August 12 show at Greek theatre in Los Angeles, CA, and an August 26 stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.

Singer-songwriter and activist Jackson Browne will perform a special benefit concert on November 29 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, CA, to raise funds for ongoing hurricane and disaster relief efforts in Cuba, Haiti and the Texas Gulf Coast.

Jackson Browne files suit against John McCain
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and liberal political activist Jackson Browne filed a lawsuit on August 14 against Sen. John McCain and the Republican National Committee in the United States District Court in Los Angeles, CA. The lawsuit stems from a recent television commercial for McCain's presidential bid that incorporates the song “Running On Empty,” written by and long associated with Browne.
The suit alleges that McCain and the Republican Party failed to obtain a license for the use of Browne’s song in the television commercial in which Democratic Candidate Barack Obama is mocked for suggesting that the country conserve gas through proper tire inflation.
