Jerry Seinfeld, born April 29, 1954, is a comedian, actor and writer, and is best known for his stand-up comedy and his lead role on the television series Seinfeld. The show ran for almost ten years, 1989 – 1998, and Jerry’s character was actually a semi-fictional version of himself. He helped write this very successful show and even executive produced it in its last two seasons. Rather than pursuing a film career like most other popular comedians have done, Jerry Seinfeld returned to stand-up comedy once the sitcom ended. As an author, Seinfeld was best known for his book “Seinlanguage” which released in 1993 and became a number one New York Times best seller.
More recently, the comedian co-wrote and co-produced the 2008 film “Bee Movie” and played the voice of the animated character Barry. He also made a number of guest appearances on television shows such as Head Case, Curb Your Enthusiasm, NewsRadio, Mad About You, Larry King Live, and The Jay Leno Show.
