After completing a spree of summer festival appearances, Grammy-winning blues musician Keb’ Mo’ will launch a full-length tour of the United States and Canada. The fall outing will pick up on October 14 at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, and continue through December 5 at Nokia Theatre at the LA Live complex in Los Angeles, CA.
The 30-date trek includes an October 21 performance at Nokia Theatre Times Square in New York, NY, an October 27-28 stand at Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, a November 13 concert at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, and a November 25 gig at Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA.
The tour itinerary includes two bookings north of the border for October 15 at Metropolis in Montreal, QC, and October 16 at Koerner Hall in Toronto, ON. General onsales have already started for several of the fall concerts, and ticketing details are available on Ticketmaster.
The three-time Grammy Award winner, whose real name is Kevin Moore, is working on his ninth studio album, due for release later this year. The as-of-yet unnamed project is a follow-up to 2006’s “Suitcase,” produced by John Porter who also worked with Mo’ on his self-titled 1994 release.
“The creative process involve with the making of this record has been a deeply rewarding experience. Everything from the songwriting sessions to re-connecting with John Porter has been a wonderful journey,” Mo’ explained on his Web site. “The music represents life happening in all of its shades and shapes. I hope that spirit is conveyed to the listener.”
After completing his 2009 itinerary, Mo’ will stay active on the road with a couple concert dates booked within the first few weeks of 2010. He usually tours with his four-man band, consisting of drummer Les Falconer III, bassist Reggie McBride, keyboardist Jeff Paris and guitarist Clayton Gibb.
