Kenny Chesney has quickly become one of country music's hottest touring acts. His seasonal runs often last most of the summer and consistently attracting large audiences, drawing comparisons between Chesney and singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. In spring 2008, the country musician was named the Entertainer of the Year for the fourth consecutive year at the annual Country Music Awards.
Chesney's demand as a touring artist also recently led to a long-term touring deal with The Messina Group and AEG Live. Running from 2009 to 2013, the tour gives Chesney control over which venues he performs in since it is based on venue capacity, not ticket sales like usual touring deals.

In what the company is calling a "pricing error," Ticketmaster is cancelling $25 tickets it mistakenly sold for Kenny Chesney's June 18, 2011, concert in Philadelphia, because Ticketmaster said the tickets were supposed to be priced at $99.50 each.

In recent years, country musician Kenny Chesney has claimed his crown as the king of summer touring. His annual outings usually launch in spring and take him through all the major U.S. markets through the end of summer.
Chesney's summer productions have consistently been a top seller for the nation's largest stadiums and amphitheaters, and feature prominently on TicketNews' exclusive event rankings. But all of that will change in 2010, according to a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly in which Chesney called a halt to his regular summer extravaganzas -- at least for a while.

Multiple award-winning country singer Kenny Chesney has been tapped to headline next year's third annual BamaJam Music & Arts Festival to be held June 3-5 in Enterprise, AL.
This year's festival ran June 4-6 and represented a musical mix of country, alternative, rock, blues and more on four stages. Headliners were Taylor Swift (June 4), Alan Jackson and The Black Crowes (June 5), and Kid Rock and Brooks & Dunn (June 6).
