Los Angeles Angels wrap up the American League West Division title
The Los Angeles Angels clinched the American League West divisional title Monday, September 28, with a resounding 11-0 pounding of the second-place Texas Rangers, and the victory turned very emotional for the Angels as they honored their fallen teammate Nick Adenhart. The young pitcher was killed in a car accident at the beginning of the season, and the team dedicated its season to his memory.
With a win by Boston Red Sox, or another loss by the Rangers, the Red Sox will secure the AL Wildcard spot and face the Angels in the American League Divisional Series (ALDS) for the fourth time in the past six years. Boston has owned the Angels, winning the previous three ALDS matchups.

Some season ticket holders upset by the Angels’ new resale policy have questioned whether some of the components of the new resale restrictions are illegal. First, there’s the matter of whether there’s anything legally wrong with preventing the resale of tickets for below face value. Even though the impact of that part of the policy has been the main focus in the earlier segments of this piece, we’ll put that on hold for a moment and look at the resale of tickets for greater than face value first. And to put that part of the question in context, let us examine a similar, prior case (as that is how the law often arrives at its conclusions)....

But if you’re a fan of the Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim) and you plan on seeing an Angels home game during the upcoming 2007 MLB season, you might well be pondering the old Shakespearean question, “What’s in a name?”
