Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man and successful solo rapper Redman are teaming up once again for a 37-date tour of the States in support of their newest solo albums and projected 2009 collaboration. The headlining jaunt kicks off October 10 at Lupo’s in Providence, RI, and continues through a November 29 performance at Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT.

The circuit takes the duo to major markets from coast-to-coast, including an October 17 show at Nokia Theater in New York, NY, an October 24 performance at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, a November 7 gig at the Grand Ballroom in San Francisco, CA, and a November 26 show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Opening support comes from New York rapper Termanology.

Method Man began his solo career in 1994 with “Tical,” and album that peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and topped the U.S. R&B charts, as did “Tical 2000” in 1998 and “Tical 0” in 2004. His 2006 RZA-produced album “4:21” featured guest spots from Lauryn Hill, surviving Wu-Tang Clan members and Redman, among others.

Redman is supporting his most recent release, 2007’s “Red Gone Wild,” which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. It is the sixth studio album by the New Jersey native, whose previous albums were all certified Gold, except 1998’s Platinum record “Doc’s da Name 2000.” Since the beginning of his career, he has also appeared as a guest on more than 70 albums and singles, including Christina Aguilera‘s “Stripped” and Ghostface Killah’s “More Fish.”

Together, Method Man and Redman have release two studio albums, including the most recent “How High,” which was released in 2001 as the soundtrack for the film of the same name. The duo has been on hiatus since then as both men concentrated on their solo and acting careers, but a new collaboration album is projected for 2009.
