Method Man, born as Clifford Smith in Hempstead, New York in April of 1971, is a hip hop artist, record producer, actor, and member of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. He is part of the duo Method Man & Redman and also duo-ed with Mary J. Blige in the Grammy winning rap performance “I’ll Be There for You”. His solo debut “Tical” was released in 1994 as a success, reaching number four on the American charts and selling over one million copies. Other album releases of his include “Tical 2000: Judgement Day” (1998), “Blackout!” (1999), “Tical 0: The Prequel” (2004), “4:21… The Day After” (2006), and “Blackout! 2” (2009).
Method Man also held many film roles in movies such as “Cop Land” (1995), “How High” (2001), “Soul Plane” (2004), and “Meet the Spartans” (2008).

The return of Leonard Cohen and Hanson's walk for charity are in the mix for the daily tour recap on July 22, as compiled by TicketNews.
Consummate singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen will close out his 2009 world tour with a new round of U.S. concerts this fall. The 15-date outing includes some new markets for Cohen, who had been off the U.S. circuit for about 15 years, as well as some cities visited earlier in the year. Ticket sales for the trek open to the public on August 3.
Method Man and Redman tour announces 37-date headlining run
Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man and successful solo rapper Redman are teaming up once again for a 37-date tour of the States in support of their newest solo albums and projected 2009 collaboration. The headlining jaunt kicks off October 10 at Lupo's in Providence, RI, and continues through a November 29 performance at Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT.
The circuit takes the duo to major markets from coast-to-coast, including an October 17 show at Nokia Theater in New York, NY, an October 24 performance at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL, a November 7 gig at the Grand Ballroom in San Francisco, CA, and a November 26 show at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Opening support comes from New York rapper Termanology.
