Nickelback will be on the road for another season, as the Canada-based rock band extends the Dark Horse World Tour that launched with a U.S. leg in summer 2009.

The tour's next leg begins September 14 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, and concludes more than a month later on October 30 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Three Days Grace and Buckcherry are the marked opening acts for the fall run.

As this year draws to a close, Canadian rock band Nickelback is already busy planning a fresh slate of concert dates for the New Year. The band's 2010 tour leg will launch with an April 6 show at the John Labatt Centre in London, ON, and continue through April 24 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.

Eleven East Coast dates have been announced for the North American trek, but additional dates are forthcoming according to a statement on Nickelback's official Web site. The current schedule includes performances on April 6 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; April 13 at Verizon Center in Washington, DC; and April 19 at Amway Arena in Orlando, FL.

Wicked, with a 5.53 power score, takes the top spot in the Weekly Top Events rankings for the week ending March 15 and following close behind is Nickelback (3.86), who climbs to number two after falling to number twelve in the last rankings. Britney Spears tickets are third bestselling (3.01) according to our TicketNetwork Exchange sales, and Taylor Swift & Kellie Pickler tickets are fourth (2.69). Dave Matthews Band tickets for the summer leg of its tour went on sale this past weekend and now the band sits at number five with a 2.68 power score. Elton John & Billy Joel rank at number six (2.39), ahead of Leonard Cohen (number seven, 2.05) and Taylor Swift (number eight, 1.92). Another theater show makes it into the overall top ten: Jersey Boys, at number nine (1.85), while Kenny Chesney closes the top ten with a 1.70 power score.

Of course Nickelback has the number one concert event in the top concerts rankings, but other popular shows include No Doubt at number nine (3.09) and Jonas Brothers at number ten (2.72).

With the first leg of their 2009 North American tour just recently underway, the rockers in Nickelback are already making big plans for the second leg of the tour. After completing the current tour and a brief UK run, the band will return to perform at amphitheaters across the nation.

The 30-city tour leg picks up July 10 at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, NY, and wraps September 9 at Journal Pavilion in Albuquerque, NM. Stops include a July 24 concert at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, an August 19 performance at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Oh, and an August 31 event at Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Wheatland, CA.
