After emerging into the music scene in 1992 with its debut release, No Doubt quickly climbed the radio and album sale charts for its unique blend of pop, punk and ska. The band's most successful record, 1995's "Tragic Kingdom," hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has been RIAA-certified Diamond.
After nearly 20 years together, the band announced a hiatus and split in 2004. Lead singer Gwen Stefani, meanwhile, began making a name for herself as a solo artist. She released two albums that, like her work with No Doubt, blended a variety of musical genres. Over the years, Stefani also became known as a style icon for her unique fashion sense.
In early 2009, No Doubt announced its reformation. The band subsequently booked a summer-long tour of the United States to cement its comeback, and a new studio album was also announced as being in the works for release later in the year.
Last chance for No Doubt, Phish tickets
Major summer reunion tours from the likes of Phish and No Doubt will close during the week ending August 17, as compiled by TicketNews.
Late summer touring plans are winding down for jam titan Phish. The recently reunited and ever-popular group sold out show after show on its 2009 itinerary, but fans can still find tickets on the secondary market for the band's upcoming shows.
No Doubt auctions premium tickets through eBay
The pop-punk heroes in No Doubt have taken a strong stance against ticket scalping for the band's current tour. Except when it suits them just fine.
Through the Web site eBay, No Doubt is auctioning off VIP ticket packages to 16 of its upcoming shows, of which 60 percent of the proceeds from each sale will benefit the Orange County Chapter of ALS. The band also plans to hold additional auctions for more shows in the coming weeks, and the other charities that will benefit include Doctors Without Borders and charity: water.
No Doubt tour adds more dates to summer 2009 reunion plans
As they get closer to the official launch of their 2009 summer tour, the members of reunited rock crew No Doubt extend their plans for the run. Over the course of the past few weeks, about 10 new shows have been announced and confirmed for their reunion.
In the middle of their previously announced 2009 summer tour itinerary, No Doubt added a June 22 performance at Turning Stone Casino Event Center in Verona, NY, and confirmed a previously announced June 26 show at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, among other dates.

No Doubt tour hopes to make ticket sales 'scalper-proof'
When vocalist Gwen Stefani and her reunited band No Doubt hit stages across the U.S. this summer, the best seats in the house will be filled with only the biggest fans. For the ska-punk band, that means primary ticket holders.
No Doubt is joining the ranks of bands trying to stop ticket scalping by controlling ticket sales for premium location seats via an in-house ticketing operation. Approximately 1,500 stage-vicinity seats -- or 10 percent of each venue's capacity -- will be set aside for members of the No Doubt Tour Club.

Dates and venues have not yet been confirmed, but the trek is scheduled to start in May and will stop in outdoor amphitheaters and arenas across the U.S. and Canada.

No Doubt tour to hit the road in 2009 with new material
After a four-year hiatus, the members of ska-punk band No Doubt announced their return to the road in a faux instant messenger conversation on the band's official Web site. The tour will begin in 2009, though an exact start date and itinerary have not been confirmed.
On the opening page of the site, the band's members enter a four-way chat to discuss recording times for their return album, which the group began developing early in 2008. Suddenly guitarist Tom Dumont interjects, "I have cabin fever. Maybe we should play some shows or something."
