Phish is one of the most popular modern jam bands in America and has built up a devoted following over the course of its two-decade career. Phish formed in the early 1980s and gained nationwide attention with hit albums like 1996's acclaimed "Billy Breathes."
On the touring circuit, Phish is a force to be reckoned with. From their founding in 1983 through 2004, the band was a summer favorite and almost guaranteed a sell-out when billed for multiple-day engagements and large-scale festivals. Members Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell have pursued solo careers apart from their work with Phish, and their solo tours often fair well among "Phish phans."
After five years apart, largely spent working on solo projects, the four bandmates will reunite for a summer 2009 tour of the United States. Tickets for the tour are in high demand, and fans rushing to claim the coveted ducats voiced frustration when a system failure with Live Nation Ticketing prevented them from claiming tickets during onsales.

The 29-date itinerary opens with a June 11 event at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL, and stretches over the next two months with only a few weeks off in July.
